My daughter is getting SO big!! She's practically walking now, says "Uh-oh", "Mama", "Wow", and "Aai-Ooo" (Thank you). And she's got EIGHT teeth!! She just started clapping the day before yesterday, and she gets so excited when people see her do it! She adores books and birds and pictures of fairies. Her hair is getting so long and floppy, I need to do something with it! :)
My 6-yr. old son had the idea of making his own Valentines, and (I kid you NOT) wants to make his own GOD valentines... He wants to make them on Paint, with pictures from the internet, and then print them out. Would this creep anybody out if their child came home from school with something like that? I don't see the harm in it at all, and think it's rather cool, but what do YOU think? Comment quick!! We'll be making them tonight!

So, I've been thinking that I really like seeing people post their outfits on their own blogs... It helps me see new ideas, helps inspire me to be more creative, etc.
About 2 or 3 years ago, I decided I was SICK of waiting until I was "skinnier", "richer", "confident", etc. until I would dress how I wanted to... and I realize that I will regret the time I have now if I don't do it. I don't frankly CARE about waiting anymore. And it's fun to have friends to dress creative, inspiring me... I LOVE IT!!
Since I've never really done anything like that (documenting my outfits), it makes me wonder how I sometimes really DO look. Creative, outlandish, CRAZY? Hmmm... So, I think I may do some posts of outfits every once-in-a-while, just for my own sake, but I'm NOT looking for people to stroke my ego or any of that. I'm just gonna have fun with it! I'd LOVE it if YOU guys did the same, (if you're into that sorta thing!).
We'll see how it goes!

I think it’s a great idea for home but you should not distribute them at school you may offend some others with different beliefs. Have him make valentine hearts or something more general and not so religion specific. Have him pass the god valentines out at church. :) I also would hate for him to get into trouble at school, I know religion is a no-no there. Passing out at church is a great thing but keep it far far away from school. If you are in doubt call the school and ask them how they feel about it, I just dont think its a good idea.
I can tell you that there is NO restrictions on that sort of thing at school. I have a list of things that children & teachers cannot do at school, from my politics class and giving out God valentines is not harmful and I seriously doubt that anyone would get offended. Come on it's from a child. My kids go to the most liberal school in all of Utah and they are definitely open to it. At our school we celebrate EVERYONES beliefs and we do not discriminate. We have Mormons, lesbians, Pagans, Catholics, Atheist, Agnostics, Buddhist, you name it and we have it. Most everyone has some sort of belief and we all come together and celebrate our differences and it actually brings us together. I think if you can't talk about what you believe, whats the point of talking. It's not preaching! It's who you are! I say, let him give the God valentines.
Mason's preschool teacher is a Wiccan and she said that mason said the cutest sweetest thing that any child has ever said to her. She had a headache and he told her that "it's ok, when Jesus comes it will be all better". She said that it was the most thoughtful thing that anyone has ever said to her, and it was his belief and she would never knock his belief, just like I would never knock hers. I find wiccans amazing. I think we shouldn't have to be afraid of who we are and what we believe as long as it isn't infringing on anyone else. And I don't see how a small little valentines is going to hurt anyone. He is expressing himself... and we should encourage that and not put it down and shut it up. sorry for my rant. you would love our school they are so open and accepting of everyone. Not just the unbelieving and mindless sheep as the regular public school system.
Go on and post pictures of yo bad self! I wanna see you in the raisin costume first. Post! Post! Post! Post! :)
