My Old Doppleganger

I think this is ME in another 30 or 40 years. NO LIE. Except my eyebrows are different.

But MAN... Her necklaces are like one I just made the other day, but maxxed out as if in my dreams...

DRESS ENVY

GAH.... This dress is very much a representation of the kind of stuff I can't live without--graphic prints on soft fabric. This is why I am obsessed with collecting mumus, because they have a plethora of different wacky patterns on them, and if you lurk around the D.I. long enough, you find some GREAT ones. Recently I found a black one with white graphic patterns on it reminiscent of flying saucers... I LOVE it. However, mumus aren't EXACTLY flattering, so that's where my multitude of wide, strong belts come in. You have to have shape, right? And they are great for an expanding and contracting waistline. I have yet to fix the unflattering arms, though... they seriously need help in that area.

However, I have never been able to understand jeans... I RARELY see them looking flattering on ANYONE; and yes, they do go with just about everything, but they're SOOOO uncomfortable for me... especially if I've been indulging on sugar a bit too much. Plus, I guess it's just the strange artist in me, but I don't get wanting to look like everybody else. So.... benefits? What do YOU like about jeans??

Giggidy

It will not surprise you that when I saw this picture, I let out an audible, long sigh.
I've never been obsessed with shoes like this before--I was always content with what I could find at Target or something. And with such beauties like these, I seriously won't get over it.

I think the swallows on the Miu Miu Crystal Pumps are just AMAZING... so much so, that when I first saw them, I ran to some pink pumps I had of my own and painted a white swallow on them. They're nothing like these, they're fierce vintage pale pink python pointy-toed stilettos (that was a lot of p's!), but I love the way the bird looks on them.

However, all that said, I think the crystal encrusted bow pumps are my favorite--I will FOREVER be in love with black and white.

I think fashion is my main mode of escape right now... I definitely am aware of how frivolous and ridiculous it is to most of the world, but it allows me to return from the land of 24-hour mom and just adore beautiful things. I don't even necessarily feel like I have to buy them--sometimes that shatters the dream of their existence.

The girl that owns the above shoes lives in Paris and ... I think she's a student. She spends the rest of her time shopping for EXPENSIVE clothes shoes and modeling them for the camera. It seems she comes from MONEY (BIG understatement).

Bah....

I really shouldn't want another pair of black shoes...

But here's the original Ann Demeulemeester($965):
