Baby Potty Training

OK, I have this friend who is potty training her 8 month old. Yep, you heard it right. And I was definitely skeptical, but she's having success!

I've been thinking about this a lot, and the only two reasons I can think of to not try it is:

1-I don't know if I could do it

2-(and this is weird) but I like the concept of changing my baby's diapers... like a romantic baby thing.

Definitely stupid reasons. Not valid at all, especially when the reasons TO try it are many. So, I think I'll be trying it. Wish me luck.

Um... good luck. Obviously I am a bit cynical but that is just because I still change an almost 3 year old's man poops every day :)

Seriously though I am anxious to hear how it goes... I have heard of babies being trained way young like that before so I am very curious.

I've only changed 1 poopy diaper in 4 days! Ary is doing frickin awesome. She only wets during naps sometimes. The baby sign helps loads. The point is, we train them to ignore their bodily functions in the first place and then expect them to unlearn it later. Why teach them to sit in their own filth in the first place? For our own convenience? People all over the world do ipt and we westerners are the weird, gross bad parents. :P
